The IBM PA Dimension Manager (PADM) is an application that facilitates effective management and maintenance of dimensions and hierarchies across an IBM Planning Analytics solution environment.
PADM is a separate IBM Planning Analytics instance that provides a central repository for storing and maintaining dimensions. It enables the review, change and comparison of dimensions in a single location and increases visibility and accountability of any alterations before or after they are pushed to downstream models.
The application leverages a mix of native IBM PA functions, REST APIs, as well as custom Python code to manage and coordinate the distribution of dimensions and hierarchies across the environment. It can integrate with upstream Master Data Management (MDM) Systems if needed to source any corporate standard structures that act as a basis for downstream modifications.
